The Automotive mechanical industry is a dynamic industry that is set for future growth. By completing an apprenticeship or traineeship in this industry you will learn how to service and repair the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as the engine, transmission (clutch, gearbox and differential) and the suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels and tyres). Apprenticeships in industry are generally four years in duration, while traineeships are generally one year to three years in duration.
