Kingaroy Celebrates 100% Completion Rate in Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship Program
Golden West Apprenticeships is proud to announce that all students enrolled in the Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship program in Kingaroy have successfully completed their training, achieving a 100% completion rate for the Certificate I in Engineering. This milestone marks a significant achievement for both the participants and the local community.
The 12-week program, funded by the Queensland Government and conducted in partnership with Golden West Apprenticeships and TAFE Kingaroy, provided students with comprehensive training and hands-on experience, preparing them for successful careers in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Following the initial eight weeks of intensive classroom training, participants engaged in local work placements, gaining practical insights and skills that will be invaluable as they move forward in their careers.
Natalie Spencer, Golden West Apprenticeships’ Training and Employment Coordinator played a pivotal role in the success of the program. Providing one-on-one support to each participant, Natalie ensured that every student had the guidance and resources needed to excel.
“Seeing these students grow and develop over the course of the program has been incredibly rewarding,” said Natalie Spencer. “Their dedication and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring, and I am confident that they have bright futures ahead in the engineering field.”
Natalie is also working diligently to secure ongoing apprenticeships for the program graduates. Thanks to her efforts, two apprenticeships have already commenced, with more opportunities on the horizon.
“We’re committed to helping our graduates transition smoothly into the workforce,” Natalie added. “Securing apprenticeships is a crucial step in their career development, and we are thrilled to see them taking the next steps towards fulfilling and successful careers.”
The success of the Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship program is a testament to the collaborative efforts of Golden West Apprenticeships, TAFE Queensland, and the Queensland Government in fostering local talent and supporting the growth of the engineering sector.
Congratulations to all the graduates on their remarkable achievement!
